Traditional parquet

Traditional floorboard is the most popular kind of floor in our country. They have been used for a few hundred years and even today they are considered as the most elegant and durable. Oak and ash floorboards have the best technical parameters.

Aside from woodworking precision, wood humidity is one of the most important parameters. Optimal floorboard humidity is equal to 10-12%. It is not recommended to store or lay parquet before one month after the end of painting and masonry works. Room should be heated and well aired.
According to German norm DIN 280 there are following kinds of parquet:

EXCLUSIVE – uniform color, unacceptable white, without knots, simple ring pattern, glance acceptable
NATURAL –
acceptable grown together little rings up to 3 mm, random ring pattern, unacceptable white
GEISTREIFT –
diversified wood structure, clear tint with healthy white, healthy and grown together little rings up to 8 mm
PATTERNED -
diversified wood structure, healthy and grown together little rings up to 8 mm, small amount of white color is acceptable  
RUSTIC – very
diversified wood structure, tints, white acceptable, very grown rings, black rings up to 15 mm

Traditional parquet is composed of floorboards which are:                 

  • 15 mm or 22 mm thick,
  • 50, 60 and 70 mm wide
  • 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500 mm long.

Professional floorboard laying, scraping and varnishing are very important for esthetic appearance and durability of laid floor. Considering high precision, professional knowledge and equipment which are needed, it is also important to use services only of professional parquet workers.

Jodła podwójna – double fir
Jodła klasyczna – classic fir
Jodła klasyczna skośna – slanting classic fir
Jodła potrójna skośna – slanting triple fir
Jodła podwójna skośna – slanting double fir
Jodła potrójna – triple fir
Cegiełka skośna – slanting brick pattern
Cegiełka – brick pattern
Cegiełka okrętowa – marine brick pattern
Pasy krakowskie dworskie – cracovian courtly strips
